Daylight Savings Time

I understand the perception that if we change the time either forward or backward it is suppose to enhance our day to day living. However, it can be more of a hindrance than a convenience. It is darker in the fall after the change goes into effect which makes the days seem shorter and the nights longer. Yet it is so confusing to the sleep cycle, and traveling through different time zones can be felt as you try to regain your sleep patterns, and participate in recreational out-door activities. Its downright crazy when driving across state lines and the time changes. What a difference a few miles can make. I think it also affects one's psychological mood too, it's depressing when you don't have as much daylight one week than the week before. Scientific reasoning and/or understanding a change goes out of the window when you change either forward or backward every few months. Who's idea was this anyway. It would been better to have one agreeable time through out our country to be consistent. Why should we be consistent with time in this country, there are more important things we are not consistent with that need more direct attention.
Just my thoughts!
